Adding using objects

In these kindergarten worksheets students count objects to solve addition problems. The form of the questions reinforces the meaning of addition by demonstrating the equivalency between adding objects or adding numbers directly. All sums are less than ten.

In these kindergarten worksheets students count objects and then fill in the blanks to create an addition equation. They then find the sum either by counting or recalling math facts. All sums are less than ten.

Below are 3 versions of our kindergarten math worksheet on making 10 using pictures. Students are shown a number of objects and asked how many more to "make ten". Fluency in pairing numbers which add up to 10 is an important skill in elementary numeracy.
